Quick question - what is the “angle assignment type” used
for a) Ab-initio
b) refinement
in cryosparc algorithms?

Maximum likelihood for refinement, I believe this is also the best choice for ab-initio, but would you mind listing the available options as I can’t recall off the top of my head.
(Note: @Dmitry is referring to the provided options in the wwPDB deposition server).

- angular reconstitution
- common line
- maximum likelihood
- not applicable
- ohter
- projection matching
-random assignment

Hi @Dmitry, @DanielAsarnow is correct - Maximum Likelihood is correct for both ab-initio and refinement in cryoSPARC!

Might be helpful to have a cryosparc guide for EMDB submission - this (and related queries re the meaning of parameters requested by the EMDB) are not uncommon queries
