Unavailable settings while building jobs

Dear CryoSPARC users,

I’m trying to cope with some odd behaviors of the cryoSPARC version I’m working on, meaning 3.4.0; therefore, here I am to ask for your kind help.

It’s about time that I’ve noticed how many settings are not available while building several jobs, like 2D classifications and every kind of refinement. What I am saying is that, settings like “number of final full iterations” and “number of online-EM iterations” are not displayed in the “building job area”, while I can see them in the input list only after the job had started.
In additions, toggles like “Optimize per-group CTF params” and “Optimize per-particle defocus” are not even available, but still I can see them in the input list the moment the refinement job is running.
I bet having these settings available or not when running jobs could affect the final output.

Any idea, please?

Hi Daniele,

There is an unlabeled slider near the top of the settings which controls the display of “advanced” settings. Could this have been toggled off somehow?

Hi Oliver,

Thank you for replying promptly. Indeed, you’re right, the slider was turned off. I guess I might be always used to having it switched on by default, never paying attention. Now that I’m aware of this, I’ll keep an eye on it.
