Simulated data scaling

Hi All,

Is it possible to control the scaling and cropping of simulated data?

I tried to generate a simulated dataset in V4.7.0 using a map with a box size of 480 and 1Å/pix however the particles produced by the simulate data job type had a box size of 172 and an actual pixel size of 2.79Å but the .mrcs headers and particle file had a pixel size of 1Å/pix. Unfortunately, I couldn’t figure out a way to change the pixel size in cryosparc or overwrite with a new import.

Best,

Ryan

Hey @RyanFeathers,
Thanks for reporting this. Could you let us know what the parent job type was for the simulate data job (the source of the input volume, mask, and particles if supplied)? Could you also show the full inputs and parameters tab?
Thanks and best regards,
Michael

The source of the input volume was chimerax molmap #1 3 gridSpacing 1 cube 480. I used all default parameters for the simulate job other than the particle number.

@RyanFeathers Thanks for the quick reply. Could you also attach the slice plots from the Import Volumes job? I’m curious at which point the box size got reduced to 172.
Best,
Michael

Ah, this is my bad! I cloned a job and am realizing I connected the wrong input. :man_facepalming:
