I was attempting to update CryoSPARC and free up some space, as it wouldn’t start due to having less than 5GB available. In the process, I mistakenly deleted some old files from the cryosparc_database folder. While I was able to restart CryoSPARC afterward, I can no longer log in—it now says “user not found.” Unfortunately, I am the only admin user.

Is there any way to recover my username or create a new user account? Also, does this mean I’ve lost all the jobs I previously processed?

Please advise.

Restore a recent backup of the database?

Depending on what you deleted, you might be able to add another user in the commandline and then set them as CryoSPARC admin, log in and detach all projects so they are “safe”… but I suspect it’ll need a reinstall if you don’t have a recent backup.

Thank you. I got it fixed. I had to reinstall cryosparc and import the projects.
