Given that propionates are fairly common, would it make sense for reference maps (and possibly CTF-masked particle images) to be converted to charge density representation during particle alignment to achieve a better final resolution in some cases? Doing so can improve the legibility of maps for human eyes but could it also improve effective SNR at certain spatial frequencies?
