To explain the heterogeneity, 3DVA shows positive and negative values in the 3D volume in a scale from blue to red. Is it possible to provide a unit for the numbers on the scale?
Thanks in advance!
Hi @masnta, welcome to the forum!
The values in the difference maps produced by 3DVA are unitless. They represent the difference between the consensus map and the map of a particle with a value of 1 in that component’s coordinate. For example, the difference plot produced for component 0 of a 3-dimensional 3DVA would represent the difference in the map which best fits particles at (0, 0, 0) and (1, 0, 0).
