Hi, we found a lot of particles which was not our target after we did the first round 2D class. Only the last one was our membrane protein. We want to know what are these contaminant protein and how to avoid this problem.
It’s a heat shock protein, a common contaminant. We have seen this occasionally in datasets from collaborators. If there is a lot then ATP wash can get rid of it. Otherwise you can easily classify them out.
