When I import motion corrected, dose weighted micrographs (processed in Appion) and perform patch CTF, followed by exposure curation, Thon rings do not show up in exposure curation (although they are clearly there in the 1D plots, and Patch CTF is able to fit them to high resolution.
I also notice that the micrographs seem to have poor contrast, although if I adjust the contrast manually in Manual picker they look fine. This feels like a bug of some kind?
