We are processing a dataset that for some reason has a strong “cut off” at around 6Å, when all the parameters during collection were checked. We processed using version 4.7, and we got (from patch ctf) the following:
As this was strange, I investigated further with another installation of cryosparc v5beta, and this time the results were better:
Has anyone noticed this type of discrepancy before? Is there a reason that might happen?

Are those plots from the same micrograph, or just form the same dataset? Are you able to show the micrograph(s) and Thon rings from both version?
The difference is only being processed from a different workstation and different version of cryosparc. We had tried different combinations of correction (Full Frame+Patch CTF, Patch + Patch, motioncorr2+CTFFIND4, etc) because the micrographs and thon rings showed discrepancy with the ctf estimation. That’s why we tried processing the same data on a different workstation+cryosparc version.
