Select Volumes suggestion - anisotropy analysis?

Hi,

The new Select Volumes utility in 4.7.1 looks very handy for automated/semi-automated workflows!

I wonder whether it would be possible to include some measure of anisotropy as an additional/alternative discriminator?

E.g. the area under the -1sigma curve from cFSC analysis might be a reasonable proxy for anisotropy-limited resolution:

Probably better for this purpose than just cFAR, as it effectively includes a measure of resolution - just effective resolution in the “bad” directions. I wouldn’t use the very worst direction alone, as based on experience this doesn’t seem representative of map quality overall. E.g. the map corresponding to the attached plot is visually I would say ~5 Å, with regions in the 4-4.5 range (some large bulky side chains, clear helices, beta sheets visible with some distinct strands). Might be useful for comparing maps after rebalance orientations with different parameters, for example.

Cheers
Oli
