Looks like some great updates in 4.5! The new addition to orientation diagnostics, “Relative Signal” looks interesting. Would it be possible to provide a more detailed explanation of how this is calculated? Apologies if I missed it in the docs.

We have a more detailed explanation in the updated Orientation Diagnostics guide page! Let me know if something doesn’t make sense – in essence, we compute FSC curves within a ‘torus’ in Fourier space (whose normal is the viewing direction). Relative signal is then computed as the area-under-curve of each of these FSCs, normalized by the maximum value across the viewing sphere.
