When running RBMC for particles traced on fibrils, the job kept failling because of duplicates.
I ran Remove Duplicates for several times, both with larger or smaller distances. However, the job still failed.
What should I try next? Btw, my fibrils are around 70 A, and the distance between partibcle centers is about 50 A. I ran Remove Duplicates with the min distances being set at 10 A, 20 A or 25 A.
Update:
When the minimun distance between particles is set to be 40 A, the RBMC job still terminated at iteration 17 due to duplicates. The error report is “DIE: particle pairwise distance matrix is singular, check for duplicate particles (sgetrf failed)”
The message “particle pairwise distance matrix is singular, check for duplicate particles” indicates that you’re using an older version of CryoSPARC. This failure case was addressed last year, and if you update to the latest release, the problem should go away.
@pywt901 The main information needed is the software version of your CryoSPARC installation. It can be found near the beginning of the job’s Event Log. One may need to push the Show from top button to navigate to the beginning. The current CryoSPARC version is 4.6.2, where you should no longer encounter this problem. Please let us know if you encounter the problem in CryoSPARC version 4.6.2 or newer.
