During processing, one often has to re-extract subsets of particles and then wait for these particle sets to be re-cached on an SSD before running refinement. I’m wondering if it would be possible to add a toggle button to allow particles to be written to cache as they are extracted. I’m not sure if this would speed up the job, but as long as I/O isn’t saturated I feel like it should be faster than the total time for both extraction and then subsequent caching.

@gdodge Thank you for this suggestion, which we have recorded internally. Because the feature seems to require some complex changes to the software, it will unfortunately not be available immediately.
