On local refinement

Dear All,

For cryosparc local refinement, the particles input was the particles with the unwanted parts subtracted. Then what should we input for the volume? And should we input mask or not? If we need to input mask, then the mask should be the mark for which part of the volume, i.e., for the whole volume, the target sub-volume, or the unwanted sub-volume?

Flemming

Hi @Flemming,

The volume input to a local refinement can be the consensus volume (i.e. the entire structure). A mask must be input, and it should be a mask covering the target sub-volume, not the unwanted sub-volume. You can find some more information on this job on our guide page.

Best,
Michael
