Intersect based on particle location

Hi,

It would be useful if for the particle subsets tool, one could intersect based on the particle position (like in remove duplicates), not just on the uid. This would allow one to identify and remove a set of particles that are present in both sets, even if they were generated using different pickers.

This would be useful when for example one is repicking a heterogeneous dataset using a new picker, with the aim of selectively picking a new component, and wants to remove as much as possible the particles corresponding to known and classified components before starting classification.

Alternatively, an option in remove duplicates to remove both copies of the duplicate particle, rather than keeping one, would accomplish the same goal.

Cheers
Oli

Thank you for the suggestion @olibclarke.

Hi Oli,

Your (alternative) suggestion has been implemented in patch 220315 as a switch to remove both sets of duplicates in the Remove Duplicate Particles job.

Thanks,
Louis
