Importing particles from cryosparc to cryosparc

Hi, I would like to do some extra processing to a set of particles created in an old cryosparc session that I archived and stored in a an archiving data disk. .

I know in which sub-directory this particular particle data set is (it is a dowsampling job labeled J11) . The question is how can I import this particular dataset into a new project. We want to transfer to the workstation just the set of particles that we want to process rather than the whole project which is several terabytes and will take forever to transfer.
I have seen that there are ways to import particles from Relion star files but can you do the same from cryosparc cs files?. If yes how would you do it? I have tried several combinations of inputs in an Import particles job without success.

Thanks for your help.

In this case your best bet might be to use csparc2star or cs2star and then import the resulting star file – otherwise you would need to have exported the J11 job already, which is too late at this point. Additional perk of using the star file is that you will easily be able to change the paths as needed using sed or similar.

This may get you started: Combining CryoSPARC Particles from Multiple Projects - Google Docs (written for a different use case, but similar for yours)

Thank you. I will try the star file route.

Best
