Import Movies Job Builder Issue

I have encountered consistent issues with the Import Movies Job Builder as I input the movies data path to the appropriate folder contained tif files while the gain reference path remains blank. As I move forward with queuing the job the job inevitably fails and I receive the following message :

[…] AssertionError: data file /home/cryosparc/C10V2A2R3 Spherical NPs/tiff/12B - C10V2A2R3 - Plasma Cleaned and Stained 22500 x Camera Ceta 20250623 1045 Ceta.tif has only 1 frame - import as micrograph instead

At this point I am confused because the Import Micrograph Job Builder is compatible with mrc files rather than tif files. Is it possible to import tif files alone for reconstruction? If not, should I move forward with converting the tif files to mrc files?

Hi @acabrer2,

As you mention, you will need to convert the single frame .tif micrographs into .mrc format for import using Import Micrographs. Import Movies only supports multiframe .tif files. This can be done using EMAN2s e2dproc.py script, or IMODs tif2mrc script
