How to combine/merge 2 (or more) sets of particles into a new dataset

Simply add both of them as particle inputs to a job. Note in the boxes were you drag inputs, it says something like “min: 1, max: infinity, repeats: no” to let you know what you can add.

Hi @irinas, Daniel is correct, and you can also use the Particle Sets Tools job to join particle stacks.

Dear @spunjani, I have similar question – how to join 2+ sets of particles in Particle Set Tools?
Could you please specify in more details?

My aim is to combine 2 similar sets and then remove the duplicates

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Dmitry

Hi @Dmitry,

To combine two particle stacks and then remove duplicates, you can simply input both particle stacks into a “Remove Duplicate Particles” job, along with either connecting the source micrographs, or specifying the micrograph pixel size in the job parameter. Please note that if the particles have different pixel or box sizes (i.e. if the particles were downsampled or altered since their original extraction), you may need to re-extract the particles after removing duplicates in order to use them in later jobs like 2D classification, refinement, etc.

Best,
Michael
