Hi, all! I met a question about symmetry. I used relion_image_handler to change a map symmetry from C1 to C2. However, in the present case, I wanted to add a C2 symmetry to a dimer protein complex. It should have been light-right symmetry. But relion add the symmetry as up-down symmetry. I thought that the key factor was the awful map quality which misled the relion_image_handler --sym. Can anyone know other method to change the symmetry of a map?
Hi, why don’t you run another 3D refinement with C2 symmetry enforced, inputting your particles / maps with C1 symmetry ?
