How to add scale bar to 2D image and cryo-EM micrograph

Hi，

I want to add a scale bar to cryo-EM Micrographs and 2D images(see below picture). I don’t know how to do it. If there is a way to do it?

You can just do this in any vector graphics program - you know the dimensions of the image in terms of both pixels and angstroms in both cases, so just work out how many pixels the scale bar needs to be and you are good to go

Hi olibclarke,

I input my 2D image in AI, and draw a line above it. For this line, I can measure the length of it. Then the 2D image scale bar is line length/( box size * pixel). Am I right？

Hi Wendy,

The length of the line (if matched to the size of the box) will be the box size (in pixels) X pixel size (in Å).
