Fourier Crop micrographs after motion correction?

Hi everyone,

is it possible to fourier crop motion corrected micrographs after motion correction? We have a large dataset where the upsampling factor wasn’t set correctly in cryosparc live. We could re-do the pre-processing, but would have to transfer large amounts of data and would prefer to simply bin the micrographs.

Many thanks,
Matthias

Yes - you can do this using CryoSPARC Live. Just treat them as movies for import, no gain, and set the Fourier crop in motion correction. I do this to preprocess EMPIAR data for workshops, to make it more tractable to distribute. You can also probably do the same using relion_image_handler or one of the CisTEM command line tools.

Thats great, thanks a lot!
