Hi everyone, could I ask to add “Cache particles on SSD” after “Extract from mics” (and subsequent “2D classification” after “Cache particles” as a quick action?
The rationale behind is, for a distributed filesystem and/or big number of particles, sometimes caching of huge amount of particles takes up to few hours. During that time, GPUs allocated for 2D classification stay “busy” for CryoSPARC, while actually there are no calculations performed.
In our group, I usually ask people to do that manually, but quick actions could be even easier, and perhaps promote a more “healthy” way to work on a cluster?..
