Dusty and broken density in ab initio for the small particles

Dear colleagues,

I am currently working with small particles, and I noticed that 2D is more or less fine, but the ab initio is quite dusty, with broken spheres around.

What is a way of improving the ab initio? (and following refinement, I suppose)
