CPU to parallelize

Hello,
When running the import job, does one have to explicitly define the number of CPU’s to parallelize? Is there a way to let CS discover them on its own (albeit at a risk of using up all available resources)? Thanks.

Or skip header check - I personally haven’t had an issue in years. Older versions of SerialEM and DM had some occasional bugs or made it easy to make certain mistakes such that checks were necessary. YMMV of course.

Hi @SaifH,

Heads up, as of CryoSPARC v4.2.0, the “Skip Header Check” option is enabled by default on Import Micrograph and Import Movies jobs (for about the same reasons that @DanielAsarnow mentioned).
To answer your question, CryoSPARC does not discover all the cores available for this job- it’s up to you to set the value (the value defaults to 4).

Thanks. Yes, I think I have this going pretty well now.
