So i am not sure if i am missing someting but when compacting a completed live session all the data about that session (details, config, snpashot of individal exposure, overview …) disappear. For us it would be great if the compaction kept all of those while deleting all the space consuming tasks (eg Motion corrected movies and extractedparticles ).
We can do this by hand but that’s not great to recover everything afterwards. so a feature that would allow to keep all of these info from live session (even if one needs to create a specific job for this) wouldb e great

We’ve recently applied the v4.6 update and noted that Session Data management table now comes with a deprecation warning.
Our team’s primary use case is exactly as @ehanssen described–deleting micrographs and particle stacks while maintaining metadata and thumbnails for documentation/compliance purposes. We would appreciate being able to achieve this in the GUI instead of factoring user privileges to do so via the shell.
