We increasingly use cryosparc in a collaborative fashion, where multiple people will be working on a single project.
Are there any thoughts to add tools to facilitate collaboration to the web interface in the medium term?
I am thinking specifically of comments, @mentions, and threads within a workspace, or associated with a job. I can currently write comments in the job description, but no-one will read them unless they are looking very carefully! Currently we are using Slack for this, which is fine, but requires a lot of screenshots and job numbers to convey meaning.
Thanks as always for the suggestion! We’re keen to improve on the collaborative aspect of CryoSPARC. At the moment we’re in the process of planning out these features but I’ll be sure to keep you updated on our progress.
Providing us with more examples of what you’d like to see would be very helpful! For example:
I’d like to have an inbox view that displays updates on jobs that have ran and comments that mention me since I last viewed the UI
That would be great Suhail! As a starting point it would be great to have the possibility of adding user specific comments to each job, with perhaps an iOS-style notification counter on the job card? Basically like the descriptions, but more granular and with indications of which user made which comment.
This way I could comment on a job - perhaps suggesting alterations to parameters or follow-up jobs - and have people see it and respond.

I also think this would be a very valuable addition. I often look at jobs run by PhD students and it would be great if one could add comments, for instance with suggestions on which parameters to try and on how to proceed with a project.
