Changing the project directory path

Hi,

I wanted to do some processing on an old project that I was working on, and while I can still use the same process and same cryosparc instance (but different version), I cannot mount my processing disc to the same directory that I set before as the processing directory. I tried to find out how to do that and I believe what I understood was that I can “archive” my project, mount my disc on the new processing directory and then “unarchive” my project and I will then be prompted to set the processing directory to the new path. Is that process correct? My colleagues advised me to change the processor and detach my project instead because when they tried to change the processing directory they could not use or view the earlier jobs in the project for some reason. Correct. The Archive action should be performed with the project directory still mounted at the original path. Where you able to do that?

Old jobs are expected to be accessible after unarchiving. If your colleagues still require help with this problem, they may create a new forum topic and post details.

Currently my disc is not mounted to the original path. So I need to mount it first at that same original directory before doing the archiving. I will give it a try!

My colleagues totally avoid it and just change the cryoSPARC instance and detach the project. They say that this way they guarantee there will be no problem, but it felt counterintuitive so I wanted to know why they could be facing issues. Thanks!
