Actually, it’s a bit difficult for us to install chrome or latest version of Firefox on centos 6 due to their need for gtk3, but that’s another issue.

I have been running cryoSPARC in Chrome on Mac for two weeks with no issues. But suddenly it just stopped working and I am getting a blank page like many other people already reported here. Unfortunately, updating Chrome and Firefox or restarting the server didn’t help me. But it does run from another computer. It’s an amazing software, it’s just a pity that the web browser interface is currently unreliable - hopefully, this issue will be fixed soon.

Hi,

If you’re running the latest version of cryoSPARC, have received no errors during startup, and are connecting to the web app from the latest version of Chrome, you should be able to use the app normally.

Are there any errors in cryosparcm log webapp, cryosparcm log command_core or in the browser console?

I was running the latest version (v2.1.0) of cryoSPARC on latest version of Chrome and I didn’t have any errors until it just stopped working. As a temporarily solution, I decided to run cryoSPARC on another computer using Firefox, but it also worked there only for a couple of hours until a blank page appeared and I couldn’t use cryoSPARC with any kind of browser on that computer anymore. The browser inspect panel did have a bunch of errors mainly stating that ‘Loading failed for the with source …’, but we couldn’t figure out what caused this. After our IT specialist downgraded the cryoSPARC installation to v.2.0.27, it’s again running fine on all browsers and all computers. We still don’t know what is exactly going on.

Hey there, after an email exchange with Stephan from the Structura.bio team, we found the reason why in our case the installation produced these errors.

The host we used for this (stand-alone) installation is on a private network (10.x.x.x IP), and uses a proxy/gateway for HTTP requests. This proxy didn’t allow to resolve and serve requests going to hosts on the internal network, which then resulted in those requests failing.

My guess is that cryosparc internally makes such requests (including the webapp), which then fail, leading to errors.

After changing the proxy configuration, cryosparc (v2.1.0) is working (at least in terms of the web interface showing up, etc.)

Had the same issue (fresh install w/o errors, but blank screen in the web app). Solved the issue by doing restart:
cryosparcm restart
