If the problem is that symbolic links are no longer pointing to real files, but the real files are still available (elsewhere), you can update the links before exporting the job. Suggestions for a similar use case may apply to your situation also.

I’m copying my raw data to the exact same location right now. And I check the imported in my old Import Movies job, looks like the symbolic link is updating by itself, as I can open the real file using the link in imported (the link color changing from red to cyan one by one). So I think I have no need to do anything like modify the symbolic link. Am I correct?
I just curious that any special step in data processing will require the raw data symbolic link works (means I have to keep the real files there which occupy large space)?
