Choosing frames in particle extraction

Hi all,
is there a way to re-extract particles choosing the frames in the movies (eg from the per particle motioncor job?). I think it would be useful to be able to tweak the extracted particles eg, extract from frame 1-20 or 1-50 or (even 40-50 just to see how bad this is ;))

To avoid any confusion between similarly named programs and job type, please specify the exact CryoSPARC job type, if applicable.

I agree - it would be great to have this function. You might want to try the workaround described in the link below.

Reconstructions with subsets of frames?

Hi André The workaround is just to re-run motion correction with different subsets of frames (start frame & end frame in patch motion), then re-extract your final particle set from each Patch Motion job (it will inherit CTF estimates from particles). Not ideal, because you shouldn’t have to re-do alignment each time (would be faster and better not to) but only way that I know to do it in csparc.

Exactly the way I do it but it is a little long to redo that to all the movies. You can also link the particles already aligned to the new movies and just run a reconstruction only.
