Hi,
I’m trying to run Reference Based Motion Correction on an old job for which the data were collected 6 years ago and which were initially processed using CS v3.2.0. The problem seems to be that our gain correction file had extension .MRC (in capitals). When I try to use the CTF-corrected images and the final set of particles, CS v5.0.7 complains:
[…]**
OSError: I/O error, iosys_sort_jobs line 2067:
Unsupported file extension (must be .mrc, .mrcs, .mrc.bz2, .tif, .eer, .ecc, .gain)
I/O request details:
filename: /media/cryoem/cryoem4/P44/J1/imported/FoilHole_14219273_Data_14217312_14217314_20200914_135023-gain-ref.MRC
data type: 0x10
frames: [0:-1]
eer upsample factor: 2
eer number of fractions: 40**
Now the file in the J1 directory is of course a link to the original file that also has extension .MRC. I tried changing the name of the original gain file to .mrc and modifying the link in J1 to point to that, but it doesn’t help. It seems that CS doesn’t even accept .MRC in the name of a link. Apparently .MRC extensions were OK once upon a time but not any more! How can I get around this?
Thanks
Derek
